NEED HELP!
OK Finally gonna get those tires this weekend.. and got a question..
I'm getting different advice from different tires comps. They are telling me that "H" Rating is fine instead of a "Z" rating.. what do guys think??
I am also worried because the car's a lease..will they give me crap because of the tire rating??
Ugh this is just all so freaking confusing!!!
Oh yeah Last question are Hankook K106's any good??
Tommy before you give me shit... I KNOW YOU WANT ME TO GO WITH S03's/S02's.. but i am not gonna spend the money on those tires for a car that'll be gone in less than a year.

H and W ratings are speed ratings. H rating means that the tires are good up to 130MPH. You can read more about speed ratings here - http://www.tirerack.com/tires/tirete...eral/speed.jsp
No they won't care.
Hankook?
Actually I recommended the Bridgestone RE750's - cheap and good. But Cin do whatever you want. Its your car and your money.

Actually the cheapest I've gotten are the Fuzion ZRi. They supposedly are good. But I am just shoppinggggg around.
I know what the ratings are.. but i am curious if it is OK to go with just the "H" or stick to the "Z" rating?? I know W / X / Z are all recommended for the S.

I'm older than most of you
, and have purchased a LOT of tires. I bet that most of you have never even driven on bias-ply tires! That said, it is true that better tires offer better performance, control and smoothness. In general, an H-rated tire does not offer these qualities nearly as well as an W,Y, or Z-rated tire, and I would not put an H-rated tire on a car like the S2000.
Tommy makes a good recommendation in the RE 750. They're about $200 less per set than the OEM tire, or a set of SO3 Pole Positions.
Contact the people at Edge racing for alternatives. They've giving me some really good deals on tires and are local (Turnpike near Doral).
