new law
i just heard on the news that starting at the end of the month, there is a new law going into effect. you can now be pulled over if you are seen with no seat belt on. they no longer need to see you commit another offense in order to get you for the seat belt. i know we all wear them all the time anyway, but just a heads up

(a) To operate a motor vehicle in this state unless each passenger and the operator of the vehicle under the age of 18 years are restrained by a safety belt or by a child restraint device pursuant to s. 316.613, if applicable; or
(b) To operate a motor vehicle in this state unless the person is restrained by a safety belt.

Though its been that way... It was more regulated as a secondary offense... meaning.. if you were stopped.. and if you werne't wearing restraints.. then you would be ticketed..
I THINK (thats all caps for a reason).. that the change is that it becomes a primary offense...
