Hey, I introduced myself on the main FL board, and they told me to come here. I'm Ariel, I've been a member of metro for about 4 years, and am moving down to south beach in September
Im thinking of coming out to a meet next week to meet everyone, even though I don't have my car down yet.

And if you have any advice on where in South Beach I should look for an apartment, please shoot me a PM I would love some input as I don't know the area well.

Yea, Miami is pretty bad about seat theft. Just make sure you have an alarm or at least a LED that makes it look like you do.
If you look at the people who have had their stuff stolen 99% didn't have an alarm.
When looking for a place in Sobe, make sure it has a designated parking spot. A lot of the apartments down there don't have parking so you have to parallel park on the street which sucks because not may people know how to parallel park in Florida, its not part of our driving test.

well hi there welcome to sunny south florida, im sure you'll enjoy it down here, and enjoy it even more with the S 
i just came back from a day at the beach on Sobe, and the parking situation down there is pretty bad... not to mention the traffic. but as other members have suggested make sure you have a designated parking space, i was walking around and theres some apartment buildings that have gated parking lots... pretty sweet, also an alarm and some seat locks are at the very least a must. anyway Welcome to Miami
