I am still all about doing a Paypal account so that Josh can re-coupe his expense. I noticed a few people being stingy and putting down a tiny tip when paying with card. That just isn't right knowing how large of a bil we had. Josh was fair enough not to ask for everyone to shell out the $26 specially to people who didn't have much to eat, trusting that we would take care of our bills accordingly. It's time to man up people.

The problem started because at first the restaurant said they couldnt split the bill.

So we started collecting money. Thats when the cheapskates came out of hiding. People seem to think that a $10.95 burger and a $1.95 iced tea only costs $12.90, and only give $13. Forgetting about 7.5% tax and 15% mandatory gratuity for a large group.

Then the restaurant decided they could take separate card payments. That's when the d-bags decided to not pay at all.

Diana forgot the worst part. Her and her friends put in extra, I put in extra, and Josh and a couple of others had already put extra. Then Josh had to add ANOTHER $175.

So we were really short like $300.

Josh (MugenAP2) put an extra $250 out of his pocket in order to cover the remainder of the bill.

Time and time again many of us try to organize fun events, group drives, photo shoots, etc., just to get the community together and have some fun. It is unfortunate that this is the kind of crap we are to expect from our fellow members.

Thanks.
I can't say this hasn't happened a few times in the past. What also happens when folks think the check is split is they start slamming back the drivnks like they are fish...

Pretty rough.. when you are just a Soda on the rocks kind of guy..

What amazes me is folks have carbon fiber hardtops... BBS / LM / SSR wheels.. and thousands of dollars in other mods... but when its time to share up the bill.. there is a sudden deafening silence and empty pockets. Then again, thats probably how the modifications were paid for in the first place (out of someone else's pocket ).

Again, I'm sorry to hear.. and had I been there.. you know I would have been right there w/ you josh/di/dan...

Not cool at all. I had a friend back in college who would do this shit routinely and I know first hand how agrivating it is. An 10 dollar plate plus a 2 dollar soda does not cost 12 dollars. Unfortunately I was unable to make it to the drive as I was having the rear bumper resprayed, but i sincerely hope this doesn't ruin the possibility of another group drive in the future. Those who cheaped out should be put on blast IMO.

^^^ Don't worry, stupid s*it like this won't stop us. We will keep doing these kinds of group drives and events. We just need to have a plan in place beforehand of how the bill will be addressed. Its good that Diana posted this, now this way everybody knows that at the next event, there will be no freeloading allowed.

I agree with you, but why are you amazed? This is your typical Miami asshole. Especially when they try to be slick and lowball you by paying less, when clearly they have over 10k invested in their car. So i feel you on this one Warren.

I'm glad this was posted because I had no clue. To be honest, I'm not surprised.
