Default Oil Change

OK, need some advise, The Owners Manual says too change the engine oil every 7500 miles. I don't agree and prefer every 3000. But, I heard some scuttle about the type of oil to use after 10,000 miles???? Can anyone clarify this? Is synthetic 10W 30 better???

OK I'm changing mine every 3000 to 3500 miles. At 10K I switched over to Mobil One Synthetic 10W/30. I did notice some slight changes with the new oil... better gas mileage, smoother performance, less pronounced VTEC transition. If you switch, switch at or after 10K. Don't do it before, even though some people in our group have and may say its ok. The F20C engine is not fully broken in until 10K. And make a habit of checking your oil everytime you fill up at a gas station.

Jeff, I changed the dino oil at every 3000 miles and at 9000 I went to synthetic. That will be changed at every 4000 with the diff. fluid.

I use Mobil1 Synthetic, and I changed before the 10K mark. Now I change every 3,000 miles.

I use Royal Purple racing 20 . Use it after you finish breaking in your car trust me you'll feel the difference.
