Wow... that is a really nice offer. You made me feel better.

Ok the countdown is almost over...9 hours till my flight leaves and 23 hours till I get to Miami.

That means I will see my baby in about 24 1/2 hours from now.

Oh by the way... My uncle, as a going away present, lent me his 1984 Porsche 911 SC Targa for the day. I got enough Low-end torque out of that car to last me till next summer. That car is loud, aggressive, and awsome "old school" inside. I mean you feel like you are in the cockpit of an old war plane. Off the line it is a neck breaker and with an amazingly loud and deep growl at 5K rpm (6K rpm redline) I couldn't have had more fun tonight. It is sad to see how Porsches today (Non GT or Turbo) have lost that raw power feel. The old Targa had such a pure ride to it..wow. It is not a car I would like as a daily driver though...too much torque. I know I would get really annoyed with it. That is what I love about the S. When I drove it, it was pretty tame at low-rpm's so that makes it a good daily driver. If you want to get some speed out of the S you just don't shift till later. It is 2 cars in one!

Welcome back!

 

Thanks to Ganthet and Chris for the welcome back. I am going to be more busz than I anticipated this weekend. I have to go up to Tallahassee to pick up a friend who is driving a U-Haul up with all our furniture. I am not sure wether I want to put the 1000 miles on the S just yet. Anyways, I am glad I will see you people on Tuesday. Later...

 

That's funny that you couldn't wait to get back to drive your car, and now you have a chance to put 1000 miles on it right off the bat and don't want too. That's ironic. I wouldn't want to put THAT many miles on it right away either.

Glad you had a safe trip back. Hope you aren't having all the rain we are in Tampa so that you can enjoy your car on your first weekend back.

 

I got 3 good hours of sun today..wasn't in the car the whole time though. It is funny...I was wearing a sleaveless shirt and I got a tan on my arms with a line across my shoulders. It looks really weird.

I saw Jonathan Powers' Suzuka S at the AMC in aventura...I was coming out from the movie SWAT that started at 11pm. The car looks really good, especially that front lip!

I am currentlz at 470 miles. I have done 170 miles since I have been back.

I am going to some car show tomorrow night with two of mz friends...anyone going??

Oh, on Tuesday, my friend might come with his M3. It is not extremely hooked up, but it is really nice.

Finally, I am looking at a sound system for my car and got these estimates from Sounds Good Stereo on 163rd Street:

MB Quart Mids and Highs (Premium Series) - $500
JL Audio 8 inch Sub in Box - $175
JL Audio Amp (4 Channel) - $475
Installation and Parts - $150

Total - $1300...have not negotiated...YET. Please, if anyone knows if these are reasonable...let me know. If these prices are too high please tell me. Oh, if anyone know where I can get this stuff for cheaper I would appreciate it a lot.
