my dad works at Avant's Auto repair, great place for honest car work. not really a performance shop but if you're around Delray, Boca, Coral Springs, Pompano area it's a great resource for general automotive stuff and they're honest, that's rare these days.

Don't tuning shops find themselves in a hard place when, most of the time, their clients are pretty savvy with getting the parts for cheap. So of course they want to source their own parts and have some shop, with talent that knows what they're doing, install it.
Ok, two problems. The shop doesn't get any margin on the parts, but more importantly, why should they honor any warranty of any sort on some part some dude bought?
How does it usually work? You tell the shop what you want, and they mark-up the parts?
EDIT: Or are there shops out there that are cool installing supplied parts?
