Hey guys, I'm in Jacksonville,NC.. I've got a quick question , and hopefully you guys can help me out.. I'm in the process of buying a used engine down in S. Florida... And we'll as you all know this can be some tricky business sometimes lol, I have a local mechanic that Isint able to go down to Florida with me to check out the engine, and I was wondering if anyone here knows of any shops down by west palm beach are or anywhere near, that might have a chance to go down there and check out the engine with me, if not for me before heading down there myself...I'm not asking for free, but please no arm or leg lol Thanks

Hello, new owner and new member here in Kendall. I was wondering if anyone has had recent experience with TD Autowerkes. I spoke to him on the phone and I got a good vibe from his shop. I need to replace the clutch on a 2002 AP1 all stock. He quoted $1000 for a Competition Stage 4 installed with one year warranty. I am also looking for a good alignment shop. Read some poor reviews about Ken at AF, so I am looking elsewhere, but not in Dania.

Thanks.

Gus

Hi Gus, for an alignment I recommend Apex Alignment in Kendall. Talk to Albert, he will explain his process to you and will help you set your car up in the way that you want. Are you looking for a street alignment, or something maybe for the track?

Thanks for the recommendation. I need a street alignment. Car will be mostly driven on the street, occasional Auto-x here and there.

Albert can definitely help you with that. My favorite thing about going to him is he will explain to you what every adjustment will do to the car. If you've ever been curious how an alignment affects a car's handling, go talk to Albert at Apex. He even has this little wooden car he brings out to show how the adjustments work, it's a running joke among us lol. I think he charges 80 bucks for a street alignment, which is pretty reasonable.

I would stay away from competition clutches, go Oem all the way, the Honda bearings are by far the best for our cars.
