Thumbs up Performance Shop Recommendation

Hello Everyone, Does anyone know of a good shop where they can install a vortech supercharger? I just finished buying one, used, and would like to know of a local place in Miami that you guys would recommend to do the install...

Thanks

Just be careful. I hope they do a better job w/ Superchargers than they do w/ turbo's. My co-worker took a 1999 accord to install his turbo.

They ended up putting some pieces on backwards or somrthing to that effect (I'm new to tuning, so bear w/ me) and he ended up frying his pistons do do non-favorable oil pressure. Then after they screwed the pooch on that they refused to pay for the damages.

After a month of back and forth beween them and speedlab, Dynamic turbo finally offered to replace the pistons but still wanted the $800 for labor. After all that was done and my friend take it home, the car breaks down: crack in transmission!!! Coincidence, I do not know. I just know it's been a 5 month headache.

Believe me, I do not want to badmouth any company for my friend's example could have been just a random case. All I am saying is watch out and find out what is covered and what is not in case something goes wrong.

I would not recommend DT. I 've had a few issues in the past w/ them.

SFP did a good job for me. I do recommend that you investigate before you make any choices though.

What people know.. and what people think they know are 2 very different things...

You may also want to consider Ricj Case Honda. Neil is an awesome tech and you can have the assurance of a job well done by a honda certified mechanic. South Florida Performance is also good.

No dawg DT is da shiet yo.

OK no seriously I was, joking that is. They messed up Warren's (daWorm) car on my recommendation. My S2000 has war damage as a result. Also I had them install my H&R Coilovers for my M3, they scratched up one of my brand new 2 day old 19" BBS LM's and when confronted, denied it. I got a new replacement wheel and eventually had them to pay for it.

I've had pretty good experiences at South FL Performance and apparently others here as well.

It's kind of hard to pick up sarcasm when typing unless you do one of these

I'm kind of new to the tuner thing (around a year but I am hooked) and if I didn't know any better I would have gone to DT. I am just glad there are forums like this to get opinions from.

thank you guys, it looks like it will be South Florida Performance. I've asked around some people who have their cars tuned and they speak well of SFP.

Thanks again
