I have had a lot of spy ware lately on my PC. Daily even. It seems that soon after I come to the S2ki site, I get pop ups.


Am I the only one experiencing this?????????????????????????????

I have not had a problem with pop ups on this forum at all, but if I click on some of the links on this board or ones that members post, I will start to get a lot of pop ups. Specifically, the links to those photo sharing companies.

I don't have any pop up's either. Usually you get pops from a program that was downloaded onto your computer or a website that has pops when a page is opened.

 

Usually sites that have a membership fee dont have pop-ups, Usualll because pop-ups are used as a source of payment for the site.

Get Ad-aware and Spybot. These two programs compliment eachother very well (even though spybot tells you to delete ad-aware). Bassically if one program doensnt get a form of Spyware,the other does. Or you could always get a pop-up blocker, but those are essentially for the sites that have pop-ups automatically. Spyware can really take up system resources, so just blocking it isnt your best option.

 

I have everything you mentioned above and I am getting pop ups also.

 

is it an IE popup? or is it a windows message svc popup?

 

Come on! No one is going to take the invite to turn this into something scandalous. Surely someone can think of a reason for "popups".

Well, your best bet is to make sure there updated. Thats something often overlooked by people. S2ki should not be giving u pop ups....so if ure getting them, u have spyware. S2ki runs off of Membership fee's and banners.

As we can all atest, theres nothing worse then a group of aggravated S2k owners...
