Default possibly got a guy fired today

Well my day started out pretty good until I came to the last thing I had to do, which was to get the S an oil Change. No biggie right....wrong!

I took my car to Braman Honda to have the oil changed just like i have every other time. Usually I will either stand in the garage with my car or just outside the garage as Mark the technician changes my oil. However this time it was hot outside and I have seen Mark change my oil already before, so I

Very lucky! Kinda reminded me of my trip back from the Dragon, where my oil filter sprung a leak and sprayed oil all over the bottom of my car. Found a Sears store at the exit I was at. One hour later on my way back home.

Someone, upstairs must like us!

Wow! What luck. Glad that everything was ok in the end and that Braman managed to fix things up. It sucks because as good as a technician your guy was, this one incident could have messed it all up. People do make mistakes, and at least this guy was very sorry about what happened and didn't act stupid saying "That wasn't me... you did it".

This is a good example of why I will not let anyplace work on my car. At least if I do it (or have assistance from some of my S2ki buddies), I know it'll be done right.

Matt, it's good that you realized what had happened & stopped the car immediately. Could you have imagined what would've been the result if you didn't hear the noise & kept going?

Glad everything worked out OK for you! It could have been much worse! Glad that some people still take responsibility for their actions!

He's not going to get fired...at worst, he'll be written up. If they fired a tech everytime they made a mistake like this, there wouldn't be any tech's left. It's the ones who lie about it afterwards that deserve to be fired.

On that note, you should of spotted me on the showroom floor. Today was my first day
at that particular Braman Honda. I had my car parked on the side of the lot, opposite service. It got at least a dozen walk
arounds from the curious. I can't believe all that happened while I was there. Next time
you need to come see me. Look for the guy about 6-4, 235. You know, the one guy on
the floor LEAST likely to own my car.

Glad to see the guys stepping up. Having worked at both Braman locations, it is
not this organization's style to take the unethical approach unlike other dealerships I've
personally experienced. Dan is correct. In fact, I had to argue with one Honda dealership
in Vermont for 10 minutes that the differential fluid change only required one quart of
oil, not two.

There is no excuse. Something as simple as an oil change should not be screwed up. If he screwed a simple job like that what would happen if he had to bleed the brakes?!?!?
