I like sawgrass Ford, my dad got a great deal on an Expedition.......I say negotiate is the best way to talk....give them a set price you need to be at and make them work for you.

All Ford dealers in Miami suck, especially when it comes to the new Mustang. Most of them are marking the GT up still $3K to $5K and will not allow for a test drive.

Since 1996 I've bought 3 Ford vehicles (Mustang GT conv., F150 XLT & F250 XLT) and have not had good luck at Sawgrass Ford. They could never meet my price point (other dealers did). Negotiating a price comes down to your skill and patience plus a little luck. You will not be able to deal on the Mustang GTs, but may be able to find some good prices on the 6 cylinder model (but I don't know why anyone would buy a non V8 Mustang ). I have good contacts for truck purchases, but not for passenger vehicles, so I suggest that you start early in the morning, visit several dealers and negotiate your best deal. I use web resources like Edmunds.com to figure out a starting point for my negotiations.

I suggest looking at the site carsdirect.com and see what price they offer. Its usually a good, but slightly high, estimate of what a decent deal is.

On most American cars they should be giving you incentives out the wazzou. I don't know what the situation with the Mustang is, but I'm sure they deal on the V6 ones. Even Hertz is getting those.

hello

Problem about dealing is that im located in Sweden, and all the dealing is made via mail.

Thats why asked how much i should expect in discount approx

never bought a new car in the states before

if a car costs lets say 28500 USD on forddirect.com (mustang GT)

Do you guys think its possible getting it for 27.000 USD ? Dont mind to wait for the vehicle a month or 2

Or are they really that hard on the GT?

Thanks

Its an American car, next month they will probably give a $2000 rebate on it.

Go to that carsdirect.com site. They had it for MSRP.

I purchased a new ford diesel this past July and ended up traveling north of Avon Park to get a good deal. I would recommend looking north of Miami. I basically got online (through ford.com) and viewed the different dealer

If you go to Edmunds.com they can give you an idea on what price to pay and also get free dealer quotes.

Good Luck!
