Default Rocking the Dragon

Haven't heard any talk of SoFlo guys going to the Dragon this year so decided to post up. Is anyone planning to go? Tampa has a crew heading out and of Metro NY always has a convoy down. So how about SoFlo?

The guy or guys who used to coordinate WTD are no longer doing it. However, some others have stepped up and are getting it together under a new name. If anyone is interested maybe we can plan something out. Check the link in the OP. I will be driving up and meeting my Metro NY friends and anyone is welcome to convoy along.

Never made an actual event, but took a vacation a few years ago and drove the entire length of the Blue Ridge Parkway (several days) and then went over to the Dragon, and also the Cherohala Skyway. Awesome road trip, not to be missed. I think we put about 3k miles on the S that trip.

I'm thinking about making another pilgrimage at some point, but it won't be in the S2k. I just picked up a sweet Cayman S Turbo (TPC Racing), and it needs to make the trip.

Tail of the Dragon is a stretch of US129 that crosses from NC to TN. It has roughly 318 turns in 11 miles. It's a sports car and motorcycle mecca.

I posted a link in the first post that gives you all the info you will ever need. If anyone reserves their room and wants to go just chime in here so we can set a convoy up.

I've done this trip several times and all I can say is, if you've never been, you MUST go! It's definitely an experience with your S you don't want to miss. Have fun and be safe!
