Red face Saw one of these tonight....

Not blue, but orange. It was absolutely beautiful. I just about had my jaw drop to the ground when I saw one roll up and said to Dave, "I've got to go talk to him about that car". The guy said he just picked it up today and loves it. His girlfriend (or wife or mistress or teacher/tutor ) seemed less than thrilled trying to pull herself up out of it!

My sis & her bf were like "what is that?!".
How could you not know a beautiful piece of machinery like that?!

Interesting... Merri and I saw a silver one earlier today. She asked the same question, and I was happy to enlighten her.

Uh oh, maybe we'll see hundreds of these a day now They'll be as common as Hondas soon enough

I was down there this weekend and saw an orange one also. On the Turnpike up near West Palm.

My girlfriend asked "WHAT IS THAT?!?!"
I said "Oh, Baby, that is a beautiful thing" then started rattling off specs that she probably didn't really care about.
Unfortunately, we were in the Exploder, not the S. DAMMIT!!

I've seen quite a few lately. Now, certainly not a lot by any standards, but I'd say at least 4 or 5 in the last month and all in the Fort Lauderdale - Sunrise Blvd area too.

On Saturday we were heading to this place to order our wedding cake and passed by The Collection and we saw an used red Elise on their lot.

So we stopped in, sat in it and WOW. It only has 178 miles, selling for $54K, fully loaded. Since we were in a hurry we declined the test drive offer but the sales rep offered his business card, told us to call him, set up an appointment and we're take it out for a test drive.

I think I'm going to take him up on that offer and call him later this week.

Nice to know. Guess I'll be stopping by the Collection for a test drive as well.

The Elise is an excellent track car right off the dealer's lot. I was very fortunate and got to drive my student's car at Sebring last December. It has good power, excellent balance and very nice OEM tires.

It's very compact, even when compared to my Miata. Plus the Elise has double the horsepower and weighs about 200 pounds less than the Miata!
