Default Seats Gone!

Just walked outside to drive to work and the passenger door was ajar - I'm thinking uh oh ..... I look inside, and no seats! and a slash in the top big enough to put my fist through. I'm sitting waiting for Pembroke Pines PD right now. Arrrrgggghh! I've not even had the car 3 months!

Any recommendations on which dealer I should have it sent to?

OMG! This is un-f*cking real. That's what, 4 in the last month?? I wonder if this is the work of a particular person or group.

I'm really sorry to hear about this tachman... It looks like this seat theft problem is concentrated in the Pembroke Pines/Coral Springs area, with the exception of Cindy's case, which would suggest to me that it could be the same person(s) responsible for this.

I think your closest dealer is Rick Case Honda, which they have a good Service Department.

This totally sucks. I can't believe we have another member who's seats are gone! This is getting crazy. I'm betting it is one group doing this.

Let's all keep our eyes open & see if we see any S2000 seats in cars where they do not belong!

Tachman, I wish you the best. Hopefully it'll be a speedy fix.

Wow, that sucks! You'd think the police would have a trend going and would look into this. I'm sure all you'll get is a police report for your insurance company and that's all they will do.

I know there use to be a wait list for seat replacements. Is that still the case?

Well, Pembroke Pines PD came. We checked for prints - none to be found, except one that was too smudged to lift.

Allstate has one Honda dealer on their list that I can take it to: Ft. Lauderdale Lincoln/Honda on Sunrise. Anyone have experience with them? I can call them today and have them tow it up there. World Ford (just across Pines Blvd. from me) was on their list, but I don't like the idea of a Ford dealer installing a convertible top in a Honda (much less towing it). I guess I should be prepared to wait 3-4 weeks

... and I was going to drive up to the mountains of NC to see my folks for Thanksgiving ... oh well

by the way ... I've been checking JerseyGirl's recent post about alarms. I was planning on asking for one for Christmas!

It shouldn't matter which dealer is on Allstate's list or not... You are free to take it wherever you want to. I would take it to RIck Case Honda.

Taking it to a Ford or Lincoln dealer is scary.
