I would like to address some serious concerns that could turn into problems if left alone... This about certain behavior and rudeness online, here in our community forum. This isn't about us joking around with each other, thats fine. This is specifically about us joking with others whom we've never met in person. Sometimes since you don't know the person, apart from their online persona, its difficult to determine what is a joke and what isn't, statements meant to be a friendly joke may be and have been construed as offensive. This behavior has already turned off a couple of people to this club and has painted this club and myself in a negative way.

Warren and I have taken a hands off approach to moderating, but this behavior needs to be toned down a few notches, please. Thank you.

 

The rule of thumb should probably be "meet them first" before you take a shot. For example, Aardvark has taken a shine to calling Mac an "asshole" on here but you will notice that he doesn't take him seriously and replies with a snappy insult or two of his own? Why? Because they know each other enough from meets and parties to NOT take anything seriously.

Tommy takes gets the short end of the stick with numerous "short" jokes, but only from people who have met him. (couldnt resist that one)

I take a fair amount of crap *cough* jealousy *cough* about the Audi TT that I drive, but that's ok. I understand envy is a terrible burden for some of you to bear

Bottom line : Meet first! You will have better ammo for online jabs after you see some of us Just remember to avoid these two miscreants :

 

I especially love the mysterious blue dude...his head looks so misshapen and large compared to his body

Oh, and Jeff blows donkeys...

 

Thank you for your honest input Tommy. I'm sorry you appear to come up short as a moderator as it applies to what you allow or disallow. I would discoreage this behaviour at all cost no matter how gooky you may seem!
