I have the Robbins canvas top in black for my 02 AP1. The fit and finish is as good as OEM, but the canvas won't crack in the sun like the vinyl tops. Also, it comes with all the hardware you need for the install, including the rivets and elastic straps. Couldn't be happier!

does the robbins top have a smaller rear window than oem , it looks like it looking through pics of it. also does the rear window come with defroster like the oem? also the robbins heavier than the stock top. it looks like a thicker heavier material

The tops weighh about the same, and are, from what I can tell, identical in shape and size. The window is shaped identically, but has a slightly different surround, and does have the OEM defroster built in. If you'd like, PM me and you can check mine out.

I went with the OEM. The other brands seem to be hit or miss on fitment. And I am not going to go through that amount of work just to be dissapointed.

Always figured that's what a warranty was for.

Yea, that's all well and good. BUT I am not going to spend 6 hours putting it on, just to take it back off to send it back, and then have to spend another 6 hours trying again. I would rather just pay more and be assured it will fit and look right. My original top lasted 7 years and that was because I didn't maintain it well. This one should go at least 10.

You'll learn that with these cars, if you go for the cheaper option, you'll get regret it most of the time.
