Soft Top issue
Well today i got up early and went over to Braman Honda so they can check out my soft top cause it had a leak on the driver side where the top meets up with the windshield so they checked it out and they got back to me and they said its 500.00 and i was like what for a stupid weather strip come on guy! for that i get a new soft top i tell you dealers are all aboutthe $$$ anyways which brings me to my next question Anyone knows a good shop that knows how to fix or even replace soft tops on S2K's? Thanx in advance
If you're going to replace the top, get the glass window. If you do a little searching and a little waiting, you should be able to get it for under $700. Replacing just the top is a pain, but you could do it yourself. Replacing the top and the frame is a bit of work, but that also could be done yourself. Otherwise, I think it'll be approx $800 to install plus the cost of the new top. If you still want a place, other than the dealer, I went to Southern Upholstry.
Thanx for the 411 guys so if i go with the glass i need a new frame for sure huh?
anyhow let me know for sure like that i talk to my cousin who works for Honda of North America out in cali he can get shit at cost and if any of you need things let me know i'll see what i can do or he can do

You don't need to change the frame. If you look at the parts for the frame on the MY00-01 and the MY02-05, the part numbers are exactly the same. What does change is the addition of two additional straps which help pull the rear bar up so it doesn't get in the way of the glass window. There is a write up on how to do this conversion (which I might have if you're interested in it). I would venture to say, if you could get the top with the frame, it would be a bit easier to do, but I've seen people post on doing the conversion as well. Do a search through the forums...that's what I did before I did my conversion. There's tons of literature on it. I'd search eBay and the forums...it seems every month I see a top going for sale.
