Suzi being difficult
Ok..
She seems to have no problem taking 9 inches in the rear...
but.. in the front.. she's not altogether happy w/ 8inches...
ok you perverts.. i'm talking about tires...
225 / 45 on a 17x8 offset is +48
back is
255/ 40 on a 17x9 offset is +55
Now.. I THINK its the front that rubs just a smidgen.. but i can't see anywhere where it actually is rubbing... None of the dirt on the wheel well has come off. ( and as most of you sofla folks know.. i got plenty of that.. ).. not visibly anyways.
any ideas on an alignment trick? or perhaps a differnt size tire to get next time?
i've stiffen up the suspension.ala deiger technique.. i think it helped...

How do you know that it is rubbing? If it is by sound make sure it is not just the suspension that you are hearing. The Tein's get very vocal. Especially since you now have a lower profile tire the suspension is taking more of a hit.
Also, another tip, when mine rubbed it was on the outside rim of the wheel well and also inside the wheel well in front of the shock tower.
Good luck!

What wheels are you running on? CE28N's? Only 17" wheels I know with a 17x9 rear.
If so, thats the recommended tire size.
If you're rubbing, you either dropped it too much or need an alignment.

Front
Camber = -0.6 degrees
Toe = 0.04 degrees total toe, or 0.02 deg. per side
Caster = 6.0 degrees each side with 0 cross caster
Rear
Camber = -1.5 degrees
Toe = 0.34 deg. total toe, or 0.17 deg. each side
Option 2)
Front
Camber = -1.0 degrees
Toe = just the tiniest amount of toe in (less that 1/8" total toe)
Caster = maximum with the camber and toe settings above (~5-6 degrees)
Rear
Camber = -2.0 degrees
Toe = 1/4" total toe in, that's 1/8" PER SIDE
I understand Opt1 is 'better' for more daily style..
and Opt2 - is definetely more autox biased...
