Thumbs up AT&T employee

Any S2ki members work for AT&T?

How can I get my hands on an iPhone 3GS 32gb without having to sign up with AT&T? How much will they run for? I don't need it unlocked (I could do that myself).

Thanks.

You cant walk out of an ATT or apple store without a service plan and extended/new contract. They activate the phones on the spot. Your only hope would be to pay for a phone with the contract then buy your way out of the contract.

I pay $85 for everything unlimited with T-Mobile and I'm not planning on leaving them because to me their customer service alone makes up for whatever AT&T has to offer. I had pretty bad experience with AT&T so they can dream on.

DRE. thanks for the info. I guess I'm going to have to find me one that dropped off the back of the truck

Like Dre said, for me it will cost 499 for a 32 GB G3S and that is signing another 2 year contract...

Be careful with those, they track the serial numbers on the phone and link them to a CC when you buy them. Since you would be jailbreaking the phone I dont know if your serial # will be recorded. Just something to think about. You could always buy one off ebay, but my earlier suggestion is probably cheaper still.

I've been with every major cell provider except verizon and t-mobile's service was the worst for me (in nyc and broward). Their prices and value is top notch but I find the phones and cell signal a bit lacking. AT&T has been the best provider so far (signal wise)

Supposedly it's faster and blah blah but the 3Gs seems like a rebadged 3G with 3.0 firmware already installed..
