well i just got an update from allstate. almost 1 month later (2 days more woulda been a month) they finally send an adjuster out to look at it.

the damages got reduced from the original $8636 to $5075.92 total. $4517.18 is what i'm getting which is after the $500 deductable + $58.74 for the "50% worn tire". mind you i've only had these tires on the car for 7 months.

the total damages got reduced because they're going to use "like kind and quality parts from a recycler." the suspension parts will all new new oem honda.

he also mentioned that some parts the body shop had on there he didn't see the need for but if it was a problem they'd send an adjuster back out there or something to that effect.

that's just great!

hehe now it's safe to ask i guess. i don't know how much i'd sell it for. i'm not going to take TOO much of a loss on it. it's not worth it at that point. i'm only wanting to sell it because i'm tired of living in fear of owning a honda. that shit's getting outta hand.

yeah no shit. well it will be OEM parts, just off like another s2k from a yard. like u know one that was hit in the front for example... they'll just take the rear panels and use on my car. it's not that big of a deal to me personally even if it wasn't oem. it's more the principle. they take a month to even look at the car with pretty much no updates given to me along the way. then they cut the body shop estimate by $3600 which is A LOT. makes me wonder if body panels is the only thing they cheaped out on.

it's not worth my time to get it done myself on the side. and since they're using "used" panels already it's not much different. The entire right rear suspension will be new and i don't have the time nor patience to go hunting those pieces down used so i'd end up buying it new anyway.
