Default Throttle Body and Head Work

I would like to get my stock TB bored. Also I want to get port polish and head work done on the car.

1) Would I get any hp after these??
2) Does anybody know any shop that does these ( a good shop that knows F20 engines please ) between Miami and West Palm Beach??? Please let me know and it would be a lot better if you have a website or a phone number for them, thanks...

Also just out of curiosity, anybody knows if there are any intake manifolds for S2000??? How many hp would I get from it and how long would it take to install a intake manifold gasket???

Contact SFP (South Florida Performance) ask for Frank or Paul. 305-233-8520

They are located at:

18728 S.W. 107the Avenue
Miami, Florida 33157

They do have a custom intake manifold for the S. Now sure about hp gains on what your talking about. Hopefully, bigpurp will chime in, I think he has had some of that work done in the present or past.

Good Luck!

Why not just get a replacement TB from Spoon or J's Racing? And yeah contact South FL Performance for head work.

Not to get on you but, You want to get these mods done but you don't seem to know anything about them. You really need to research more on this before getting anything done. It will save you a lot of headaches.

I haven't had good luck with SFP which sucks because I live near them.

1. They wouldn't sell me an ACT Heavy Duty Pressure Plate unless I bought a friction disc from them as well because they said you couldn't use it with the OEM friction disc.
2. They said that flywheels don't come in billet style (like the Toda one I got) and tried to sell me a Fidanza flywheel.

Other people have had great luck with them, but I haven't. I ended up getting my car worked at MCA Motorsports by Mike. I believe he worked on Armando's NSX, but he's really knowledgeable and also does a lot of custom work. His price for doing my clutch was cheaper than SFP as well.

My $0.02

i don't know much about these mods. that's right. If any of you had done stuff to their cars, what would they suggest?? $3.3K is too much than I expected. I want to get some hp but i don't have too much idea. An exhaust alone is more than $1K. WHAT WOULD YOU GUYS SUGGEST???

On an NA car: As Richie would say it is an air pump. Get air in and out as quick as possible. Intake, exhaust header, and exhaust. You could possible to this for $1500-$2000 complete or less if you do it in sections. With decent parts AEM, Mugen, Toda, Spugen, Invidia, etc.

Come around to some of our Thursday nights or AutoX's and check the setups on some of our cars. We have people with completely stock, to slightly modified, to heavily modified. Anything you want to do, I guarantee someone has done it.

Mild or Wild?
Most S2k's mods only extend to the suspension, drivetrain, Ecu, and intake/ exhaust (with the exception of bigpurp and a few others). Not many can even afford that. [IMO] If you are looking to make a lot of power for cheep, sell the s2k and buy a Cobra and go to the dragstrip. If you want to make tasteful mods that enhance the design of the car then focus on a sick coilover setup, a set of roll bars, a nice clutch, and a retuned ECU. You wont make more power but you will be able to then take the car to an autocross and have some real fun with your car.[/IMO]

Headwork ($2K) + SFP Intake Mani ($800) + Ported TB ($500) will net you MAYBE 20 hp NA for roughly $3.3K.
I doubt that it will gain even half this amount on an otherwise stock engine unless you also address increasing exhaust flow. I will agree that NA power gains cost a LOT of money and time for little improvement.
