I had my seats stolen about a month ago and I posted a thread here... I could see there was a lot of anger over this little trend so I thought I would share some good news with you guys.

I got a call from the local Police Department today telling me they recovered 2 finger prints from my car and made an arrest today. They found my seats and somebody elses engine in this punks car.

The Police have a record on the guy and his brother but they can only place one of them at the scene! That's okay because he's an adult and I'm sure he's looking at charges for over $10,000 worth of damages between the 2 cars he had parts from.

So anyway, tonight he's in jail and his car has been impounded!!!

As for me, I ended up getting rid of the car after I got it back from the repair shop (it looked really nice with mint seats and a new top) but it's for the best as we now have Grand children that we'll be taking places.

Anyway, I hope this brightens some up the day of some of you as much as it did for me! Oh and if the insurance company doesn't want the seats back I'll cut a real good deal to one of you guys because I feel your pain.

they weren't crazy enough to give me the kids name! For the record, I'm in Tampa but we're technically considered South Florida so that's why I posted here to begin with.

i'm surprised they even took prints. i had to tow my car to the local pd for them to take prints off my car (and then tow it back) all at my expense.
