yup, but then again im in the trire business. If you dont check your tiresfor dryrott, its your fault that you got into that accident. Oh and the reporter is an Idiot for stating "Dot is placed on the inside of the tire", fool Your checking it on an SUV tire which has two sides, white letters or black letters. It just happens to be that the DOT was on the inside. Facking media Tools.

Not really surprising, but at least it's interesting to know that there is a date on the tires and how to read it.
