Default Transmission Swap

Just picked up a transmission and was wondering if anyone knew of a good place to install it.

I contacted JDM and they advised me 450 plus fluid but remember about a couple of months ago when I was there for tuning and asked them about a clutch job, they mentioned 350. I asked him how much the clutch job would add on to the quote he gave me now and he mentioned they would keep it the same price.

My car has 120k miles on it with the orignial clutch but its not slipping yet so I was just thinking about swapping it since the tranny was going to be off the car. Do you guys think thats a good idea?

Thanks in advance.

If the tranny is going to be down and you can change the clutch at the same time, do it.

Yea that's what I was leaning towards. So i guess now its recommended shops and prices. Does 450 sound good since last year they mentioned to me 350 for a clutch job.

Common sense says to change the clutch if you have the tranny swapped out especially with your mileage.

Last thing you need is to do the swap and the clutch starts slipping 5k later.

As for JDM.... Didn't one of their customer's car catch on fire when it was being "test driven" after work was done? Maybe not.

But call around. If no one can beat their price then do it. Plenty of people rep JDM and RAW so they are good I guess.
