Default Update:::Some Idiot Hit my S2k

But it wasnt with a car, it was with a damm hammer. It was parked in miami dade community college in the end of it so it would be less likely somebody will dent the car, and some guy on the other side of the street, went out of his car, hit the car 3 times on the side of the drivers door and left. A witness got his tag number and a description but the tag looks to be stolen because it didnt register to the car he was driving.. A silver Kia, dont know what model. Ill know when i get the police report. Not sure how much the damage is going to be. It hit only the door but pretty deep. It looks like i have 2 bullet shots on the bottom part of the door. Any good recomendations on a place to take it. I dont want to go through my insurance because one its a 500 dollar deductible and two it will raise my insurance. Im hoping this will be less than 700 dollars but im guessing they would have to repaint the door. Great start to a Thanksgiving.

The Detective called me today and they stated they had sombody in custody about this issue. They said they were trying to get a hold of the witness so they could put the person in a linup and see if she can identify them. Im hoping he has some funds to recover or if he is a minor to go after his parents for the damages. Will see what happens. Ill keep you posted. Thanks for all your feedback..
Cost of new skin and paint with labor is 1016.00 not including car rental. They said they would need my car for 3 days.

Someone got out of a stolen vehicle (or at least with a stolen plate), hit your door with a hammer multiple times, left several bullet holes in your door, and you're worried about your car's insurance rates?!

I'd be a little more concerned about my HEALTH insurance rates, if I were you... that's freaky!

Comprehensive claims usually don't raise your insurance.

Comprehensive claims shouldn't raise your insurance. If it's more than the $500 deductible, go through the insurance. If you filed a police report, then you shouldn't have a problem. Usually police repots take 7-14 days to generate, but it speeds up the process (of the insurance company sending you your check) if you pick up a copy of the report and fax it to the insurance company instead of waiting for them to get a copy themselves. I just dealt with this whole ordeal when someone cut through my top.

There's a crapload of body shops around the warehouse area of the Falls about 5 min. from Dade near SW 132nd Street and SW 87th Avenue. You can try Collision Zone, and ask for Albert or John.

COLLISION ZONE
(305) 253-2353

Tell them Hans w/ the black S2K recommended them to you. Good luck.

I dont think i know anybody who would do this to me but what can i say.. I went to a couple of places today around the sunset area, it ranged from 375 to 800 dollars.. which 800 was replacing the skin of the door which only one body shop recommended and three said it would be ok to pop it out and bondo it. Not sure which one to do..I just want it to look like stock without any damm lumps or little dents.
