Thanks for the comments - all very insightful. I do agree, that for being the first time out, my goals will just be to 1) Start off easy and try to learn as much as possible 2) Work on being smooth and consistent in driving on a racetrack 3) Keep myself and others safe and the car in one piece.
I'm familiar and use heel-and-toe from time to time, but never really get a chance to try it under racetrack driving conditions (i.e. high rate of speed deceleration - heel and toe - sharp turn), so I don't know how much my daily driving and occasional autox will translate to this scenario, but I do want to work on this part as well.
I'm trying to do some research and prepare as much as I can. At some point before the event, with some help, I'll be putting in some ATE brake fluid, and getting some Cobalt GT-Sport Pads. Also, good tip on the books. I'm actually reading Going Faster (Skip Barber book), which is great, but very technical and reads like a textbook, so I'm going through it very slowly. I think without the practical experience, some of it is not as clear right now.
I'm really looking forward to Sebring. Some of my co-workers think I'm totally crazy. I think I'm crazy for having waited so long to go.

I would throw out 1 more thing that I found helpful - especially if you are goal-oriented. Let you instructor drive your car throughout the day. It's a little humbling to see how much better they are than you but it gives you time in the car with less distractions to see how they approach each section of the track and and set up the car.
^^that's true. I thought I was pushing the car and going kinda fast...then Rene (prospectS) took over. I'll just say after passing 350z's and porches, he went into turn 17 at 126mph and I was holding on for dear life. Its amazing what the experienced guys can do.

Yea, yea... cocky bastards.
Well I wasn't gonna get crazy and shut off VSA my first time at Sebring.
And don't forget Alex, its harder to control a car with more horsepower
Chin needs to hurry up and put up next year's schedule so I can start planning.

It was great to see everyone having fun on the track.
I have a video from this weekend to upload, but need someone to host it. It's about 20mb in size and I'd like to post it to the board for all to enjoy. Let me know if you can help.
