Hehe.. No MMO will touch the EQ feel, because it was the first of it's kind - I played EQ since release on Rallos Zek (PvP server) and up onto Luclin (Velios was the best expansion imo) the game had me good.. lol

WoW is decent.. better game grpahically and has lotta quirks worked out EQ didn't get down to later on but like the same way I still won't compare Doom3/Quake3/etc to the original Quake1 in terms of fun is simply because both were the first of it's kind and it's hard to recapture that feeling..

Grion

56 Dwarf Hunter

Thunderlord

And btw, Ultima Online was perhaps the best MMORPG ever created. Blows WoW and EQ outta the water. Complete PVP as soon as you left a town, bounties, purely player run economy, player housing...about 3 years before EQ was ever created. Great game.

When I finally had an intervention to stop playing EQ1 2 years ago. 65 Bard 150AA's and 2 real bad cases of Carpal tunnel from twisting songs. I have sworn off addictive games. I have recently played Guild Wars.. which is OK. I have stayed away from WOW, because I KNOW I would get hooked.

If you like these games and don't like the monthly fees, check out guild wars. It's a great game that basically does away with the negatives associated with MMO's.
