There seems to be some interest in doing Beaverun again. I know Dino & Nabeel might be in and depending on price I'd like to go.
Here's what I know so far:
- event date: Monday, June 27, 2005
- High performance driving sessions with pro-level instruction (not sure what 'pro-level' instruction means)
- Spectators Welcome
- Event Starting Time: 8:30 AM
- Open to publice (NO INVITE NEEDED)
- It's a non-racing event (just lapping and I don't think it's a driving school)
It takes about 4.5 hours from Toronto to drive to a hotel close to Beaverun. Last time we stayed at the Pittsburgh Marriot, about 20 minutes from the track.
I'll be calling Beaverun and posting more details (price, etc) soon, hopefully by Monday at the latest. Everyone who went in May agreed this is a very fun track! You really need to experience it for yourself.

More details. The webpage for the event is here:

- Price: $165 USD if registered 48 hours before the event, or else it's $180 USD
- There are instructors present. Depending on your experience you will be assigned an instructor. This is at Beaverun's descretion. Also, the instructor can give you signoff at any time.
- There is an in-class component. The woman on the phone told me there are usually 2 in-class sessions. The rest is track time (no skidpad, etc)
- Convertibles require a rollbar, now, the woman could not confirm if the s2000 is suitable from factory, but I'll call Monday to confirm. Last time we were ok, but the event was run by someone else (they rented Beaverun). She said this shouldn't matter since Beaverun sets these rules, not the group renting the track.... at any rate I'll know on Monday.

Beaverun said that the S2000 is good to go as is too, with the factory rollbar. If anyone wants to go, I'm in, otherwise I'll just forget it. Don't like doing the 4.5 hour drive myself.
