Well this years event is being organized by a few different faces. Attended by both new and old friends that return every year. Amazing roads, scenery, people, and food. On this years menu we have:

I'll be doing Back of the Dragon as well, but won't get there until the Wednesday morning.

I'm confirmed for 2013 RTD and will be leaving on thursday 8:15 am from Sarnia- crossing to port huron just after. meeting up with jvf1 and toomanyhondas at fontana.

oops. yeah, i'm just doing the RTD event from thursday night to sunday. I'll(AP1) be with jvf1 (CR) and toomanyhondas(AP2) in the cabins at fontana.

last time i went the whole trip was roughly $600-700 including gas,food, accommodations and booze :drunk:

My car would probably use that just in fuel nick... Lol

Nick drinks alot. But realistically yeah most of the trip is gas money and its worth every penny. The only problem is you will want to go back every year.

Its not my fault. Duty Free made me do it.

Toronto to Marion, VA puts us around 10 hrs according to Google maps. Sunday morning departure.

I am going for sure but at this time do not know if I am driving down with you guys or driving up from Alabama direction with a new car. Also my schedule has me heading back on Friday I think so my tail of the Dragon time is going to be very limited. But that still leaves Back of the Dragon, Little Switzerland and Bama Dave's 3 State tour. I will be beat by then anyway.

A few things about that video

1. NEVER AGAIN! I wont do any more FCPD runs...

2. That event in particular scared the shit outta me! It wasnt the speed.

3. Next time I go to the dragon you wont catch me driving that fast again...

The part where the state troopers were waiting for us, and not just 1, more than 5 of them. They couldnt pull everyone over because there wasnt space on the road, and the lead car ran away knowing he couldnt be caught.

I vaguely remember that. You play...sometimes you gotta pay :LOL: Next time no run times or dates online.

Ouch, My thought process was someone would do a dry run to make sure the road was clear before attempting to do a run like that.

How bad was the ticket ?

Warning only, we got lucky. The policing on the dragon has significantly changed thats for sure, on the saturday it was all out tickets.

I can't imagine why :D My thought process would be to have two cars at look out points. make sure the road is clear and you're good to go.
