Our Sour Grapes Jenson

With five weeks to go before the start of the 2005 Formula One season British F1 driver Jenson Button is having doubts about seven times F1 World Champion Michael Schumacher.
"Michael wouldn't be winning that many races if he wasn't driving a Ferrari," Button said in an interview with German newspaper Der Welt am Sonntag.
"Often people don't realise how important the team is. Michael needs Ferrari to win. When you're not racing at the right team you can't win races."
But there are also others to watch: "McLaren and Williams also have a good chance to win the race."
"I know I am fast enough so why would I be satisfied with anything less than a race win? Michael won't be as dominant as last year."

Ya know Nabeel, here is a perfect example of why Honda is my number three pick, JB is turning into a complete jerk.
I'm really surprised he said that. Unless he was misquoted, which has been known to happen, he sounds like a complete whiner so i have to agree with you there Doug.
You gotta like his confidence about winning races though!

No shit it's all about the team. When Schumacher joined Ferrari, he brought many people over from Benneton and it took them years to get the team up to the world class level it is today.
What makes Schumacher such a success is not just his amazing driving ability, it is also his ability to have the team rally around him.
He is the absolute antithesis of Jacques Villeneuve.
Button is an idiot that hasn't got a clue.

i see nothing wrong with his attitude - he's a professional athlete.
i would want an athlete - any athlete - to question the "establishment".
i would also want an athlete to respectfully (not sure if this respectful, but you get my point) undermine the ability of his competitors.
i wouldn't say he's an idiot or that he's clueless.
now, mike vanderjagt, on the other hand, is an idiot....he outright insulted the opposing team - and now where is he? he'll be WATCHING the superbowl instead of PLAYING in it!!!!!!
