Default Considering building another project

So the MONDA build has sparked some interest and I'm now interested in taking on a street build with a different car. Preferably something classic. Pre 80s
The power plant will most likely be a f22. Any ideas on what car I should use. Already have one in mind but am interested in hearing what everyone else thinks is a good platform. Obviously styling is on the top of the list so no wagons lol.

This would replace my S2000 so it needs to be fun to drive on the street with twisty roads. Currently this is just an idea.

Pros?

Cons?

Discuss!!

280z's seem cool, but prices seem to be going up rather fast, I'm sure you'll have a a blast either way!

There is no such thing as replacing your S2000 Nick...

If you're thinking you want to use the F22 I assume you want something that was FR and lightweight from factory.

That being said, I agree the Z platform is pretty cool, although as Amplified said above said the prices are skyrocketing. Also extremely cool in my mind is the BMW 2002, again pretty pricey. I'm sure you could find a blown up FB RX-7 on the cheap.

Something REALLY different would be a factory five cobra with the F22...doubt it's been done.

Yeah weight preferably sub 2500lbs. I like the 280 but was thinking more along the lines of a 70s celica. Prices aren't too bad for the ones I've seen. No clue how much work I'd need to do to make the s2 motor work.

Factory 5 cobra is sick.. Probably have to go v8 as it seems to be more fitting.

I've always wanted to build a car from the ground up, would either have an LS or 2jz. If you wanted to keep the f22 as the engine I would LOVE to find an older 80s generation Honda Accord hatchback with the flip up lights RWD, that would be sick

My Nephew has a Del Sol that I've been helping him with, they have lots of potential. I've always wanted a high power CRX though, they are really cool cars when done up well.

In the Nissan family, the old 240Z's with the inline 6 motors were very cool, the trannies were superb. I drove one for a while, always loved that car.

You get bored too fast with cars Nick, you should get yourself a horse instead.

F22 in a MKI MR2.

DO IT. DO IT. DO IT. That would unite all my cars I've ever owned into one monster. It won't be easy but we don't do things because they are easy now do we?

No horse for this guy. If it doesn't burn fossil fuels and have a steering wheel I ain't interested.

How about a Caterham 7 kit car, that would be such a fun build.
