a few problems with the baby....need help!!
With an '00, you probably still have the original striker plates. The TSB will give you the newer heavy duty plates. That should fix the wind noise. Also, grease that windshield seal.
Re: that "clunk". When you sit at the red light, do you put the tranny into neutral and let off the clutch pedal? If so, you are sitting there spinning your tranny around. When you are ready to go, you then put the clutch in and immediately select first gear. Am I close? What this does is the momentum of the spining tranny is then conveyed to the prop shaft, then to the rear diff. Since the car is sitting still, All the moving parts of the tranny suddenly STOP. This is what you hear. Next time, either wait 3 - 4 seconds AFTER you push the clutch to the floor before going into 1st. This gives time for the tranny to at least slow down so the clunk won't be noticeable. OR, you can quickly select another gear (2nd or 4th is handy) first, then into 1st. Do this while the clutch is on the floor. This effectively stops the tranny but because of the ratio of the higher gears, the sudden stop doesn't slam the gears together quite as hard. Also, the syncros in those higher gears will do their job before it actually engages.

TSB is issued by Honda Engineering to inform the dealer on how to fix a certain problem. It includes information on repair procedure and most of the time updated part information. TSB's only apply to vehicles which are still covered under warranty.
Ian is there a TSB for a rattling drv side window when it's down? If so could you fire that one up here too?
I have 400km to go before my warr is up
May as well get the dealer to do at least something lol
