the car is legal, but read the first few pages.
find a car anywhere u can/want: ie. autotrader.com , craigslist (US cities), ebay, in teh FOR SALE section here (usa), etc. there are many to be had, but getting a proper maintained one is the key. finding them in Toronto can be done, but selection is limited and pricing is stupid in 90% of them.
yes you would want the car checked by a US dlr , but its a risk to buy and well, you WILL want to have it checked in Canada when u get it here. but NO warranty as its a US car...so anything bad on it, u will pay out of pocket. the s2k isnt TO bad for maintance cost, but it still can be pricey for many major items. When u get teh car to Canada, you will have to pay $75 or whatever it is for an inspection at Cdn. Tire to get it cert'd that its been modded to meet our standards, this includes daytime running lights worknig (or just rewire the lights so they come on always), some stickers for the doors/hood and i think chil teather in teh passenger seat. (the s2k has a button to press for mph, so thats easy). you will then also need certify+emissions done to register it.
you will pay 14% tax on the car, plus 6% duty, plus any other small fee's to processit over the border, like $250 for importing fee at border, and i guess have money for the transport truck, unless u setup to drive it from the border.
documents u need are in the link i posted above. you will for sure need a clearance recall letter from HONDA USA that there are no recalls on the car (usually always ok), a dlr can get you this if you buy the car from them, if you buy private, i guess contact honda usa directly....hope they help, cause i dunno. of course u need the car's original US registration and bill of sale, etc. and your own liscence, info, etc.
if your new to it i suggest gettin help from someone that has done it before. i missed some smaller items above im sure.
