Default help!

See pictures below.

Ok, I will keep the story short, so I don't make you guys read a bunch of irrelevant stuff

Apparently, my S is park under a pine tree and based on the pics, you know what happens on a daily basis or overnight basis.
Yes, those annoying stuff keeps dropping down onto my top, then rolls down to those edges.

My question is, anyone with similar problems or experience? I am not asking how to keep those things away because my only option is not to park near that tree.

Here's what I have tried doing (and some of the ways are not the smartest, lesson learned).

1. Finger-picking those every morning, which doesn't work too well, because my fingers are not skinny. This means I tend to push those things into the gap between the softtop and that black plastic trim (as shown in the pictures), then I cannot get it back out because its stuck inside already.

2. I took my car to the coin wash, then blast the water at it hoping it would blast it off (of course not close up, I don't want the water pressure to chip paint nor kill the top). After that, I inspect, and its all gone, however, I don't see any on the ground as well, so I don't know where did it went.

My questions are:
1. The pines that I have push or went behind that black plastic piece, is there a way I can check if all those pines are trapped behind that black plastic and clean it out?

2. Is the car designed in a way, those pines or any other stuff get flushed out somewhere eventually?

3. If I just open the top with those pines on the edge, will it just run-down somewhere?

===

Thank you for looking at the pictures and reading my concerns. I really want to keep this car clean. That's why I am concern over such a small thing.

open the roof a couple of inches at a time until the material loosens up at the rear edge then it is easily vacuumed them out. When you just open it a small amount the material bows downward and the pins should all slide down into a fold, so you can easily vacuum them. They won't fall inwards or out of sight, so no worries. Just do a few inches at a time until you get enough room to get at them.

Not sure what you can do for the future with that tree problem other than a car cover , I'd hate for those pine needles to puncture a hole in the top.

I am going to take down that evil tree!!!
Anyone want to vent out any anger on that tree, you're more than welcome to

But thanks to the advice first. I was thinking about doing that JFUSION trick, so I already got a light weight portable vacuum at Wal-Mart, the ones that is good for Auto as well.

However, I am concern on the pine needles that already got stuck behind that black plastic trim, does it get flush out eventually? Or is there a way I can take out that trim or any panels from the trunk to clean it out?

Anyone with a PDF technical manual of our AP1s?

if the roof is in good condition there isn't any real place for the needles to go, and that roof looks like it is in great shape. I doubt any needles made it past the sealed rim. Lower the roof a bit suck them up, run your fingers along the based of the plastic trim piece and you should be good. You'll get a better picture of things once you have the roof opened a few inches, you'll see how the vinyl piece mates up to the trim and I think it will put your mind at ease. Now if the roof was in poor condition with some small tears that could allow particles past it, worse case scenario they would end up in the trunk in front of the trim panels, but I think you'll be fine with that one.

get yourself some 303 protectant and a claybar, if your parked under a sticky tree often. There are 2 drainage holes (probably more), on either side of the soft top assembly when its open near the door jam, makes sure they are not gunked up.

Thanks Sanjay! haha... I don't think I've seen any blue tops around GTA yet.

So if anyone spot me, wave please, I always wave and greet the S2K I see @ Shell Station on Hwy 7 near times square.
