Here is something a digital camera can't do....
these are taken with slides... then scanned and adjusted on computer.. the tonal range (dynamic range) is simply incomparable!!!
here are a few that I scanned ... first few are University of Toronto... the last one... well.. you all should know where it is...

Very nice pics! The picture of the hand railing looks like too many skateboards ran across the top of it... ha ha, just kidding.
How did you scan them? Slide/negative scanner? If you have one - I envy you - those things are wickid expensive.

took it to a lab... costed me $2.30 CAD each slide... scanned 10 slides only 6 (which i showed here) made out good... and it's only 4mp...
so.. i am gonna get my own scanner soon..
