Im tapping out...
the hondata gasket melting is due to improper bleeding of the coolant system. Without the hondata gasket the intake temperatures are the same temperature as the coolant minus cool air in the intake manifold... now isolate the coolant from the intake not to mention the transfer of heat from the head.... there is absolutely no way the intake is the same temperature. Remember the intake air is alway cooling the intake manifold without the coolant in it to heat it up faster.
i have driven my car with and without the hondata gasket and can vouch that it works on hot days.

mine also blows really cold but I feel heat coming in from all directions, I think my black hardtop makes things worse and radiates down onto the top of my head. I thought I would try using the recirc button next time, plus my black hardtop is being painted sebring silver as we speak.
