I'm looking for a GPS to be used in my S2K and will one that covers both CDN and US cities. If you guys have any reccomendation or hook up please let me know.
Simon, please let me know which one is good. I don't need anything too fancy as long as it works and take me where I need to go without getting lost I'm cool.
Works great. Ive got the RAM mount arm that installs it as in the diagram (not my car, but exactly the same).
They are asking $590 for overhauled ones with v6 maps. Ill let this one go for $450, including the $125 RAM mount with 18 month old maps. You can upgrade to the new maps for if you like and still be cheaper than an overhauled one, and have the RAM mount included.
Its in great shape. No issues. Ive got all the software and everything for you also.
I have a Garmin 2610 with a 1Gb card. which i believe can hold the entire maps of Canada and the US. My only gripe i have with it, is that even with all of canada loaded so far, the waypoint memory always seems to go full..
If i were to buy now, i'd probably go for the same unit because its the only one that is still expandable and is "unlocked" so additional maps can easily be installed. I'm not too fond of the new c230, c330 nor the iQue's but that's just my opinion

Why dont you like the c230 Simon? That is what I was thinking of replacing mine with....
oh please don't get me wrong, its just I prefer a larger screen , more options for the tabs and screen info , and more of a mobile unit. I use mine in about 3 diff vehicles, so the portability has to be there, hence a 2610 over a c230.
the c230 has a windshield mount which isn't to my liking as over bumps it tended to come undone and "almost" fall off
smaller read out and more simple functions
and the maps actually seemed to have "cheapened" as they more resemble the Alpine or Magellan GPS units as opposed to Garmin
