wing - that's quite interesting and suprising at the same time. As my buddy's shop 427 auto collision has no problem paint matching. Neither did Speedstar's bodyshop.. Hmmm ?

If there's any consolation.. WolfGang Twins tends to make SPA finishes "brighter" which may bring it closer to the fenders and the rest of the finish.

the Klasse Twins tend to make SPA finishes a "tad" darker.. almost 04 rio like.. (which i prefer)

so next time you're in T.O. may I make the suggestion of applying Wolfgang on your hood ??

I can apply it no problem for you. Of course I'll prep it with my new arsenal of DACP before.

Well considering I'm getting a good deal and the guy won't have the car to test with it makes it much harder for him to match. If he had the car, he would simply do test panels and match it with 3 coats. But I'm getting my front lip painted, I didn't leave him the car just the lip, he mixed some paint to make it a 1 step + clear instead of the 2 step. Let me tell you the sample he had was VERY close to my car.

Also remember, he is doing this as a favour to me, you can only as so much as a favour. He went and opened his shop on Sunday and for free sat with me and mixed paints and chatted and stuff.

My buddy at 427 Auto Collision can do a test match for me.. going to give him the paint code in a few days when I have dinner with him.. I'm going to get a spray tester as well.. Will let you know my findings..

I don't think you can get it EXACT by the code. I looked up how a tri-coat works. It's basically a base coat, then there is another clearish coat (with a tint) that is applied. This is the tricky part you have to match it by eye, no science to it just luck. So unless you have a panel to match to it's very tough.
