MINT S2000 WANTED
Absolutely. Because of Acura on Brant's pricing, now everyone thinks they can get $24k for a MY00... Oh well, they have to learn the hard way. BIG HINT: If you cant sell your mint all original S2000 right at the start of summer there is something wrong with your price.
States is always the best bang for the buck.

Just to toss this in as a price reference, I bought my mint 06 Silverstone w/ black & red interior with just over 15,000km from the dealership in Goderich for 29k, earlier this year. Typically the best ones come for sale at the end of the season when everyone is done with them for the summer. Good luck finding one and be patient the right one will come around.

At the risk of starting a debate, don't underestimate the "fun" of an AP1. I prefer the styling of the AP2 but am willing to forgo that to have 9000 rpm which in the city may not be as good but in the Mountains, 9000rpm and faster 2nd gear rocks.
The biggest AP1 problem is the prices have come up to very close for AP2's which are easier to find with low kms at a reasonable price. GL with your search.

While the prices at Acura of Burlington are high - i dont think the people on this board accurately price the value on a creampuff unmolested car.
Many people (including some members here) drive cars which have been smacked and repainted or have 140k km on them and paid $15k -- a perfect car will not be that cheap - but when you do sell it you will get all your money back.

This is true. I have been saying this for a while now, that condition is a key factor in the value of these cars and that cannot be determined unless you see the car in person. But really, it all comes down to if the buyer wants to pay for it. As I said above though, when some people see an expensive creampuff, they start to think their smacked up car should be the same.
That said though, there is such a thing as over pricing. You have to be realistic and consider the model year as well. These cars are not classics therefore they lose value every year they age. When I sold my MY07 the wholesale value was in the 13's and the retail was in the 15's just to give you an idea of what the government thinks they are worth. That car you could eat off of and it only had 59,000km. Of course, true market value is a lot more but these cars are all over the place in terms of pricing.
My opinion is that Acura on Brant is still over priced. I sold a MY03 that had 35k on it 3 years ago for $18,500... (or was it $19.5? I can't remember) 3 years ago. Acura wants $23 or $24 for a MY00 with similar km. The book value of that car (and they know this) is probably aorund 9 or $10k. Typical dealer trying to gouge you, and I should know, I used to work as one

I understand what you guys are saying... I'll be honest with you I've only ever driven an AP2 and I didn't kill it.. I don't want to waste anyone's time and go look at there car to drive it to compare. If a deal does come my way I can't refuse it
What ever you buy, only you can decide its value, but there sure has been a lot of S2k's up for sale lately, I will bet they are not Canadian cars or 1 owner cars. get the history first, and do your research before you buy. Not putting anyones car down here, but it all reflects the price in my book.
