Stupid XYG glass, or whatever it is. Was cracked slightly when I bought the car, apparently me adjusting my mirror from time has caused it to crack in almost a perfect circle around where the mirror is glued to the windshield. What kind of shitty fvcking windshield would crack because you adjust your mirror??

Anyway, I suspect my repair job will permanently solve my problem. It's a piece of shipping tape on the exterior of the glass to make sure the mirror doesn't fall off completely and leave a hole in my window.

Where's a good, cheap place with good quality glass in the GTA? I had been hoping to make it through to the spring before slapping a new windshield on it, but I don't think I'm going to make it.

Can't imagine the truck that dropped several LARGE rocks on my windshield on the highway didn't really help. Though I suppose I'm lucky none of them hit the hood!

 

Just call speedy or jiffy or whatever autoglass. It's all the same. I'm just about to remove the windshield from my car, too bad for you they aren't reusable.

 

Says who? Isn't it just the trim that isn't really reusable?
