Default New M5!

His lease was up on his 2003 M5 so he's got a brand new 06 sitting in the driveway (to my surprise). As he was showing me all the features on this new car and we were sitting in it, one of his German Sheppards jumped up on it and put his claws down the passenger door..... It was raining, and I think the scratches were superficial. It was thundering outside, so the dog got freaked out, not really his fault.

I'm trying to get him out for a Mosport Track Day so he can see what his 500hp car is really capable of.

I'm also going to take it for a good drive in the next couple of weeks and try it out. I never got to drive his 03 M5, but this one I insist on driving.

I will tell you what its capable of: KICKING ASS!

Even the last M5 was hillarious. James would be flyin around the track, listening to world music with the air on and the tv on and with a drink in his hand enjoying the suculent leather under his manicured ass with absolutely no noise from anything except the tires screaching and me laughing my ass off.

I'm wondering what that car is capable of top speed down the back straight of Mosport?

A good driver out of corner 5 I'm wondering???? Are they limited to 250 kmh?

I like one of the instructor's comments when he was asked what he thought of driving the new M5 at the last BMW school. "Well picture your living room..."

Guy I work with at CIBC just picked up his on Saturday, promised to come by and let me thrash it....and thrash it I will.

I think it would be hard pressed to get past 240 on the back straight....Enzo that was there was only pushing 250, but I don't know how hard he was going.

997S or M5? That is the question.

You've had the M5 and know how exclusive it is, I don't see you going to run of the mill 997.

The 06 M5's are showing up barely used for decent dough in the US even.

I'm going to work myself up into a purchasing frenzy and then do nothing..I can feel it now.
