Noise Diagnostic
When decreasing speed starting around 60km/h there is a humming sound. It gets louder as the car continues to decrease speed until I stop at which point the noise becomes like a grinding sound.
Letting off on the brakes or applying the brakes has no effect on the sound so I'm quite certain its not brake related. I was thinking wheel bearing but I thought the noise usually gets louder as the speed increases?
Thoughts guys?

My first thoughts is something to do with the driveline actually. Something like the clutch, slave cylinder, master cylinder, something in that whole assembly anyways. I just say that because it is grinding when stopped, what is still moving when you arent?

I cant really tell whether its coming from the front or rear when in the car. I didnt try applying the parking brake while driving but I tried braking soft and hard and nothing changed. Steering left or right doesnt seem to effect it either.
Sorry I will clarify what I mean about the grinding. When stopped the noise stops. But when I'm slowing down I would say from 20km/h-0km/h the noise becomes more grinding then humming. Also, the noise is like an off-on-off-on similar to a warped rotor sound.
Clutch feels just fine.
I had intended on torquing the axle nuts over winter...maybe I'm too late
I thought I would have more time with only 40,000km on the car.
Note: The noise JUST started this morning, Iv been monitoring my cars sounds lately cuz my exhaust has a bit of a rattle lately since the weather got so cold (I was thinking gasket). Maybe its one of those infamous muffler bearings!!
I realise this is a lot of information but I'm just trying to be as descriptive as possible.
