Default RHD S2000 in TO?

As the title says, I'm driving an RHD S2000, manufactured 11/99... so if the 15 year rule is still in effect, I should be able to bring the car back and drive it on the street as a classic car by 11/2014, correct? Or are there any limitations to vehicle models that were also in production in Canada such as the S?

Wondering if any of my fellow S buddies know who I am... my car in town is also part of the Honda family:

Is that SmallStone's old car?

Haha... wow... good job, yes it is. Figured people would in TO would recognize my FG2 before someone recognized my AP1.

I didn't feel like taking any pics as my car looks exactly the same as how the previous owner modded it... it's also 35 degC and +80% humidity outside, so I can't bear standing outside for more than 10 mins at a time (imagine Feb in Toronto, but reversed)...

I am getting Toda twin-tip exhaust in either tomorrow or day after, so I'll follow up with some pics then.

If it is 15 yrs and over then it should be the same as any other 15 yr old imported car. Keep in mind it will have to comply with Safety standards and Emissions also. The hard part.... is getting insurance for the RHD vehicle, when I was looking into getting an MR2 it was VERY difficult to get someone to insure me since it's classified as a higher risk for accidents and the rates were through the roof.

I know I personally would rather not drive an RHD car here.

Europe you might be able to get away with it, better drivers.. but here... making a left hand turn, all the GTA truck traffic.. yeah no thanks.

If it wasn't a risk, I'd be rolling around in a Beat by now.

I'm rocking a 93 WRX in the GTA, used to be winters only, but I sold the S2000 and downgraded to it as a fulltime car.

Left turns at lights are butt-puckering.

Damn, didn't think about the insurance part. I guess if I DO bring it back it'll have to be a track-prepped trailer queen. So we'll see...

The Toda exhaust arrives today, so I'll be posting some pics up soon.
