If we're telling stories, I got pulled over doing 210, got a 60$ ticket and no demerit points. that was the only time I got pulled over for being an idiot.
Do you keep your kneepads in the trunk or passenger seat?
both. They get worn out pretty fast, so I keep a backup set in the trunk just in case.

Today I learned that it doesn't matter to insurance companies if it is 1 over or 49 over the increase is the same. To them a speeding ticket is a speeding ticket. Source? An s2000 owner who works at an insurance company

yup thats right...a ticket is a ticket and insurance will use it against you no matter the circumstance.

Thats why I got a good paralegal to fight my tickets if I ever run into them because id rather pay them instead of seeing my insurance go up.

Last year I won a 35 over ticket. I used Redline after seeing the great reviews online. They were about 3x more expensive then the more common guys like xcopper and stuff, but its worth it and they charge premium for a reason.

^yup they won't miss a chance to fit you into a higher premium category if you fall anywhere within the "small print" of their policy wording.

140 in a 50, they let me off with nothing, March 28, 2010 I'll never forget it. Was my first day driving my s2000...
My first ever speeding ticket was close to that. 180km/h in a 60km/h. This was in the country outside of Cayuga where I went to high school (was in grade 10 I think). I was late getting back from lunch. 4 points and $365 fine. Cop said he was being nice for not cutting up my licence right there.
Luckily that was a very very long time before the 50km/h over limit. It was my brothers car to.

Damn, if that happened today you'd make the Global news at 6 pm, lol. Not to mention a $10k fine and all the crap that goes with it.
