Default Spring is coming

Being the first year that i wait anxiously for the winter to be over, i find myself checking the 14 day forecast daily just to check the average temperature at the end of the forecast. What things do you find yourself doing while waiting for this horrible winter to be over?

As well today after work i went to check the pressure of the tires just to make sure it was around 45 psi to avoid flat spots.

When do you normally bring your car out? My S2k will be my DD in the summer and right now i m just crossing fingers that by the end of March we get some rain to wash out the salt and that by April we start to get spring like weather.

Previous years, when did you take your S2k out from storage? Just want to know as i keep waiting anxious.

April seems a little optimistic given that it snowed in April last 2 years

I've never seen so much salt caked onto the roads in my region. I don't anticipate it coming out any earlier than May. We are more than likely going to get snow in April this year the way things are going with temps.

I m not taking it out on Friday, I can wait longer. It is just that being the first winter with a S2k in the garage and the extreme cold weather we have been having, I just miss the car. I m hoping by the end of the first or second week of April we dont have any of this cold weather and that it doesnt show any more snow in the 14-days forecasts.

This has been one of the coldest winters on record. Joey's probably right about having to wait till May. There is no sign of warm weather in the forecast and there's an insane amount of road salt out there. We would need a lot of rain to wash it all away.

I remember being able to have my car out for my birthday which is mid April, but I'll agree, the last two years I'v had to wait until May to consider taking it out. I'm worried this year it will be postponed even later than beginning of May.

In the meantime I just try to remember to check the trickle charger and keep the tire pressures topped up. Don't forget that even when in storage your tire pressures will drop on a regular basis.

I'd have to say the most disappointing thing about this winter is that we've had freezing weather and yet not much snow...which means I can't even have that much fun in my STI I think there has only been a few instances that I could even go into a parking lot for some fun.
