Surreal thread
That's how I feel everytime, when I go down there. When I went to Maryland to pick up my S, we passed through a few area's which made Jane/Finch, Galloway etc. look like a joke. Even after I picked it up, we wanted to go to Washington DC which was 30mins away but the guy said that 3/4th of DC was ghetto and to not park at a mall or hotel that didn't have underground parking or someone will slash the top and to be really careful because it's pretty bad there. Needless to say, knowing the amount of firearms they have there, we didn't go lol. God bless America
We've been vacationing down south for many years, driven through many places from NYC to DC, I can't say I've had any complaints but I go out of my way to be overly friendly while driving. The last thing I want to do is get into a road rage situation, they all know that we don't have a gun.
If I had to live down there (in US) I'd definitely own a gun and I don't see anything wrong with carrying them in your vehicle with you. You are at a significant disadvantage if you don't own a gun, consider that their murder rate per capita can be 1000% higher than want we are used to seeing. Owning a gun in the U.S. is a must in my opinion.
