Default Tranny Problems

When I shift from 1st to 2nd in my S, sometimes i get a grind even though i am pushing the clutch all the way down. Do any of you have this problem? My boss also has the same problem in his S and was warranted last year but they don't want to check it out again....please advise on what to do!

That's the 1st-2nd gear grind that most pre '03 (even some '03's and '04's) get. Do a search - there's a TON on info on this including TSB's.

slight grind for the first 5 mins, especially if cold outside. No problems after that.

Mine does.. if I'm more careful how I shift and match the revs nicely, it won't.. but if I just change normally, I can feel it "crunch" into next gear.. mind you, it doesn't make the griding noise when you misshift.. just a slight notchiness/crunch
