Trunk Carpet

Hey guys, my trunk carpet, middle between the taillights has fuzzy or frizziness compared to the rest of the pieces in there. Does anyone have any solutions, besides replacing it or combing it down?

You could make the rest of the trunk as frizzy? Sandpaper will probabaly work well.
