Default What to do with computer junk?

I have a load of old computer stuff that I can no longer use.
Old PS1 keyboards, mouse, dead monitors, cases etc,

where do I go to donate them / so others can re-use them or whatever?

I've always wanted to know, but I don't want to figure out what numbers GOT-JUNK are on the keypad,

do you have to pay to call GOT-JUNK? We might move in the near future and might need to dunk a load of crap.

If the parts work you can try to sell them on usenet on a local for sale newsgroup. I do this with my old stuff. These newsgroups are the ultimate flea market for computer cases, obsolete parts, etc.

If it's recycling time then there are a bunch of places that take it for metal extraction and safe disposal. I did a google search with "computer recycling toronto" and there were a lot of valid hits.

!!!

My goodness! What was once thought of as charitable is now an economic burden!

Home pick up of computer junk - $15 each visit
+ $10 X 2 monitor pickups
+ $0.5 X2 Keyboard pickups
+ $free chips / cards / telephone stuff
+ $3 each computer case with missing items
+ $??? misc items

nearly $50 (not sure if tax is included even) for some punk to come get my stuff that they sell later on to some remote part of the world...

I want to start my own venture
